Scientific Evidence on Meth Contamination

A 2025 peer-reviewed study in the journal Forensic Chemistry investigated contamination in vehicle interiors. Researchers found methamphetamine present in:

  • 85% of vehicle surface wipe samples

  • 93% of bulk material samples

  • 100% of air samples

This confirms that meth contamination in vehicles is widespread, invisible, and a real safety risk for insurers, assessors, workshops, and tow operators.
